Amends the:
Income Tax Assessment Act 1936

Income Tax Assessment Act 1997
,
Social Security Act 1991
,
Social Security (Administration) Act 1999
and
Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986
to provide one-off payments to certain older Australians and carers. Also provides for administrative schemes (to be determined by legislative instrument) for payments if the statutory one-off payments regime does not produce an appropriate result.
